Tying a Hammock?

I recently bought a hammock, but it did not come with ropes or anything to tie it to a tree with. How can I tie each end of the rope to a tree, pole, etc?

   hmmmm… tricky question… I think you should go where u purchased it from and ask them if the ropes are meant to be included or if they sell it as a separate piece… good luck!

   I bought rope at Wal-mart (sports dept.) and just use a square knot to tie it up. I know there is a better knot to use, but the square knot works well for me. I have been wondering about using D-rings somehow so I can easily put it up and take it down–If I leave it up my dog will eat my hammock!
